Klubb Död & PlusOne presents: White Birches release party at Snövit!

WHITE BIRCHES (SWE) – Almost eight years after their last album, the acclaimed dark wave duo White Birches returns with a long-awaited third album: A New Reign. White Birches are known for their strong songs and uncompromising live performances. Now the duo continues to push the boundaries of the genre, where blaring guitars and dissonant synths meet captivating melodies. The duo has previously been compared to Portishead, Kate Bush and The Sisters of Mercy, among others. On the upcoming album, they promise heavy bass, dark beats and a sound world that dares to be both fragile and furious.White Birches consists of Jenny Gabrielsson Mare, who is responsible for vocals, guitar and piano, and Fredrik Jonasson, who handles synths, drum machines and keyboards.

FLAMMENTANZ (SWE) - Flammentanz is the name of a climbing hybrid rose, but also Frida Herchenröther's solo project. Alongside her more than 20 active years in various band constellations, including Tikkle Me, songs for Flammentanz have been allowed to develop at a slow pace. Characterized by Swedish hymns and German roots, her musical buds bloom in a combination of ballads and electronic soundscapes in Swedish, German and English. The themes of the songs revolve around mental health, transformation, the importance of community, and want to convey a sense of hope.
